Hi guys!
Its truly been long that i've last seen you all.
Hadn't been able to fork out time since i was preparing for prelims. And when i was finally free, all CCAs were temporarily SUSPENDED!!! *shoulders slumped* Sigh, so dejected.
Anyways, huge APOLOGIES !!!

I missed you all TERRIBLY. Just what have you guys been up to lately?

Well, since now you guys are taking such a HUGE break from RedCross (bet you all are as SAD as me eh?), uh uh, not for you to slack and enjoy life, not for you to forget you're name's in RedCross. But that implies that you guys have ample time to STUDY and REVISE on your subjects while temporarily keeping your urge to particpate in RedCross, yea?
And so you guys have got no reasons to score underlined grades at the end of the year, isn't it? And better still no reason to use this break as a EXCUSE for some badly coordinated footdrills when you're back for training, eh?
Hahas. Nonetheless, i know all of you are good students with good study attitude towards your future. So i've got no worries. But it's always good to REMIND you guys that no matter how good you are at that subject, REVISE and PRACTICE more.
So other than excelling in RedCross and your studies, remember to take time off to spend with you friends and families yea?
And right. RedCross will always be there for you.
We are ONE family, isnt it?(at least you all ARE to me) *grins*
Just to update you guys, the sec4s now are all FANATICALLY BUSY with our Preliminary Exams which are VERY important to us (of course, every exam is important), and it will be ending on the 28th of September. Where after which we'll take a break from school on friday, and be all normal on the following monday. Meanwhile you guys are soaring in your EOYs, we will be getting all fired up for O level which will start on 17 Oct for the practical exams (biology practical) and 19th Oct (for the science practical) which then all the way with interdays breaks till 16th November (for the pure students) and ending 20th November (for the sub sci students), where then all of us will be declared OFFICIALLY graduated. But dont worry, i'm sure we'll be back to visit you guys. So you all can see that the sec4s are actually NOT LEFT MANY DAYS to idle around after minus-ing the weekends and bla-blas... hahas... And so i think possibilities of the days and hours for any of us to came down during training and see you before our Os is like 0.01%...
Oh yes, of course. I'll speak to my lovely cadets over here level by level.

More nagging from Ivy. (PS: i heard you mumbling...)
Okaes. Allow me to start off with my BELOVED sec 1s first please?
I've been like missing you guys so much can? Hahaks.
But of course, the thought of having the right leaders(aka your sec3 seniors) to guide you through, i felt comforted.
So how you guys have been?
Learnt more commands? No more horsekicks? Rythermic Hentaks? Arm swings manged to have 90-45? Passed how many accreds? Been nice to your seniors? Response level higher? Able to Fall In in lightspeed now? Enjoyed in Redcross activities?Skin gets tanner? Grew taller?
So much to ask yet no way to see you guys.... *slumped shoulders*
And yes, so fast time flies. I still remember three years ago getting recruited... .. (shall not go in depth reminiscing)
And it seems yesterday that i was up on the bench at the CEPP corner advertising and promoting RedCross as a CCA to all of you whom i've first met.
So fast time flies and next year you all will be sec2 cadets.
No longer BABIES.
You guys have GROWN UP along with RedCross already. (Happy that you're finally declared a grown up? i'd had jump up and down if i were u... )
Welcome to the life without celebrating Children's Day anymore. *claps*
Growing up comes with growing responsibilites.
One of which is your code of conduct.
So better remind yourself of your composure when you're infront of ur juniors. No more dragging of feet, move agile-ly from place to place, always tell yourself to have the sense of urgency. And of course, remind yourself to keep your response level HIGH, esp higher than your juniors. *eyes shifting , left to right, right to left*
Not only so, remind urslf u're now a senior to the sec1, so always appear presentable and confident. Be disciplined INSIDE and OUTSIDE of RedCross. Be there to help the juniors (didnt your seniors helped you along too?). Other than that, i guess it will appear pretty much common sense on "how to behave as a leader" to you when you have juniors around you.

how have all of you been?
Similarly, EOY's round the corner yea? For you guys is slighty MORE important since that will be your streaming. Few tips, never study history the day before the exam, it's hell. And get all the facts in your science textbook nicely packed into a portion of your brain, ALL.
START practising maths now. Lit, remember to feel not think. Dnt/ Home Ed, just memorise will do the killing. Geograpy wise, ivy can only say, FEND FOR YOURSELF. (i mean, geog really can offer no tips)
Yet, needless to say, i know you guys are a bunch of knowledge nuts who will study on your own and make scholars out of your very own. Keep it up guys. Ivy's supporting you all *huf huf*
Footdrill wise i VERY concerned, have been practising? You all are our potentials and sunshine (you are my sunshine, my only sunshine... you make me happy...), and yes, you guys will be partcipating Footdrill Compeition 2007 all well. It will then be your glory and our pride. So trained hard and coordinate with your seniors. When you see the results, all the tears and sweat shed will be worthless.
And yup, like i said to the sec1s, you guys are growing up too. And to next year within months time, all of you will be changing the hierachy chart of EVGRCY, standing tall in front of new cadets as TRUE LEADERS with right qualities and one who cares sincerely for the welfare and being of your subordinates and cadets, and not how high you climb up the leadership ladder.
RESPECT IS WHAT YOU EARN, RANK IS WHAT YOU WEAR.
You came into RedCross to serve, make friends, and learnt. Not to compare ranks among your unit.
Nonetheless, not to worry about the upcoming responsibilities, since i believe that the sec3s and sirs and maams (our VIs) will always be there to guide you and put you on right track.
So meanwhile just observe your sec3s and cooperate with them.

Well heard from your fellow committee members that you're gonna have your EOY so soon in a few days time?!
Well, after 3 years of exams, scoring and flunking, more or less the nerves on exams are numbed in bones of you all eh?
So i guess the "remember-to-revise-and-soar-not-forgetting-friends-and-families-and-RedCross" talk can be cut in my paagraphs?
I see heads that nod in agreement so hard that its gonna fall off any harder.
(PS: i heard you guys mumble that you're more than glad ivy's talking lesser to you all)

And indeed, with this year's page closing in, i must comment that you all have truly hurdled through obstacles by obstacles, learnt and soar from strength to strength.
I truly hope you all will go all out on guiding the future cadets esp the current sec2s on leaderships and roles and everything.
Go all out. Dont be like some martial arts master who always reserved a few kicks to himself in order to counter his rising disciple. The only sure ways to bring EVGRCY to greater heights is to groom our next batch of potential leaders with all we know and let them develop it with theirs.
Speaking of which, i shall steer wheel and go on to your academic.

So fast eh.
Next year you guys will be graduating from RedCross and EVG and carry on to whatever the tertiary instittue is.
I know you'll never forget RedCross and neither will you forget your fellow squatmates.
So hang on still together, and for the next few months that you're still a existing personnel in EVGRCY committee, encourage and hang on with one another for the last hurdle.
Last but not least, study hard and study smart. Os will be knocking on your doorsteps sooner than you know.
Before i forget, i guess this is the FIRST year (other than PSLE) that the sec1s am introduced to and starting the exam-and-dismissed policy.
Sec2s and 3 i guess you're pretty much desensatised by that policy but nevertheless enjoying it. *guffaws*
Meanwhile i understand you all are 13,14,15 year old grown ups, but remember not to wonder around after exams esp since our school is so strategically located to places like 888, 883 and cwp.
Having lunch, late breakfast or anything after exams with friends outside is OK. But head home straight after that yea? Don't get your parents worried and be home early to have a last touch-up on the next day's exam. Right?
Oh ya, remember once you're outside, you're not only representing EVGRCY, you're the AMBASSDOR of EVG. And the way you behave tells the others ALL about you no matter how far you may be from what the others think. So dont let others misunderstood u all the civilised, and let others held the thought of EVG students are polite.
After all, studying is tiring, but tell yourself to ENDURE and PERSERVERE, its only that few weeks and you're gonna take your results with tears of joy and slack all the more you want in the 2 month holiday before school reopen.
So sec1s (seniors 07), sec2s(Leaders-to-be) and the sec3(SOARERS), to conclude, you guys are the soul character in RedCross and have made activities in RedCross memorable. Not to forget, it's all of you that made my years in RedCross a fun and exciting one.
So before i leave for the what-so-ever thing i'm gonna ride on, remember to SERVE ONE ANOTHER.
